South Devon Cattle

Our small pedigree herd of South Devon Cattle established in 2005 originated from the Trewint Herd in Cornwall.

Qualities of South Devon cattle:

  • Excellent maternal qualities with plenty of milk
  • Modern beef carcasses with natural fleshing
  • Hay MakingTop quality tender marbled beef
  • Very quiet temperament – easy and safe to handle
  • Efficient grass converters

The South Devon is ideal for use in any commercial crossbreed or purebred herd.
We are currently using our stock bull with our pedigree cows and also with our ¾ Aberdeen Angus cross cows.
This produces an excellent heifer x breed suckler replacement.

We use 2 different stock bulls to produce replacement ¾ Aberdeen Angus heifers and to produce steers for the Manx Aberdeen Angus Scheme.
